I'm considering an upgrade for my graphics card and need some recommendations. My goal is to be future-proof and capable of gaming at 1440p. Right now, I'm using a Ryzen 5 5600 with 32GB of RAM, and I don't plan to upgrade my processor just yet, but I might do it next year. I'm hoping to keep the budget under $500, which gives me a few options:
- 9060 XT 16GB
- 5070 12GB (a tad over $500)
- Used 3080 Ti
Out of these three, what do you think would be the best choice? I'm also open to any other suggestions that might fit my criteria!

I'd personally recommend the 5070. If you can snag a good deal on a 3080 Ti, that could also be a solid choice. However, the 9060 XT doesn't compare well with the 5070, despite having 4GB more VRAM. It's more limited in performance, especially for 1440p gaming.
If it's a choice between those three, I’d go with the 5070—it's significantly better, then the 3080 Ti, and the 9060 XT comes last. Plus, 12GB of VRAM will serve you well for quite a while at 1440p.
Definitely go for the 5070, it's fantastic for 1440p. The 9060 XT and 5060 Ti are a bit of a step down, though still functional. I'd also suggest checking out used options like the 4070 or 4070 Ti if those are in your area.
The 9060 XT is probably your best choice if you want the 16GB version. It should handle 1440p well enough, but I think the 5070 is the sweeter spot for that resolution. If you can find it at MSRP, go for it!

I totally agree with you! Another great option to consider could be the 9070, which is priced a bit higher but offers better performance with 16GB VRAM. Just keep in mind, it might be outside the $500 budget.
