What KVM or USB switch should I use to share a keyboard and mouse between my PC and work laptop?

My desktop PC is connected to an LG C2 TV by HDMI, and my keyboard and mouse are currently plugged directly into the back of the PC. I want to share that same keyboard and mouse between my desktop and a Windows work laptop, switching between the two computers as needed. The laptop should connect directly to the TV for video, while the desktop should continue using its existing HDMI connection and does not need to send video through the switch. I'm mainly looking for a USB-only KVM or switch, but I'd appreciate recommendations at different price points. I already have a UGREEN USB 3.0 switch with two included USB cables and would like to know whether it is suitable for sharing the keyboard and mouse between the PC and laptop.

The UGREEN USB 3.0 switch you already have should work for sharing a keyboard and mouse, assuming it has two computer-side USB connections and the required USB cables. Connect the peripherals to its shared USB ports, then connect each computer to one of the upstream ports. It won’t switch video, audio, or the display itself, but that isn’t necessary for your planned arrangement. You may need to use the laptop’s built-in keyboard or trackpad temporarily if the switch isn’t selected during startup or login.
