What should I do about the dents on my new iPhone?

I recently dropped my iPhone just two weeks after purchasing it. While I took it out of its case to clean, it fell face-first without cracking the screen. However, it did leave some pretty deep gashes and dents on the frame. I'm a bit OCD about how my devices look, so I'm really bothered by this damage. My question is whether I can buy AppleCare+ now and get a new frame for the $99 fee. What are my options?

From what I've seen, you typically need to have AppleCare+ before any damage occurs. If you want to add it now, they might ask for an inspection. Generally, if there's damage already present, they could require you to pay for a full replacement first and then add AppleCare+ for future incidents. It's a bummer, but I've seen it happen a lot. I always recommend getting AppleCare+ right away just to avoid these situations!

You’re still in luck! You can add AppleCare+ within 60 days of your purchase. Just remember, it only covers actual damage that affects how the device works, not cosmetic issues like dents. So if you're hoping to fix the frame for just $99, that might not be the case. If something breaks later, though, you’d be covered then.

Yes, you can definitely try to add AppleCare+, but keep in mind that if it shows any signs of prior damage during diagnostics, that could complicate things. They mainly want to know if everything's functioning properly. If there is damage listed, I’m not sure how they’d handle it, so good luck!
