What would make a World Cup 2026 site like this easier to use?

I’m looking for feedback on an interactive World Cup site with a 3D globe, live scores, group standings, and a full bracket. What feels clear, and what needs explaining?

The visual design sounds appealing, but the group stage needs quick status cues. Marking group winners and eliminated teams with color, icons, or short labels would make the standings much easier to scan.

If the site plays sound, put a mute control somewhere obvious on the group page too. People shouldn’t have to hunt for it.

Bracket notation can look like gibberish if you haven’t memorized the format. A slot such as “1K vs 3D/E/I/J/K” can be valid before the group stage is complete, but it needs a plain-language explanation right there. For example, say “Group K winner vs a qualifying third-place team.”

Tooltips or a small bracket guide would help explain why the opponent is still undecided, and linking each match to its details would make the whole thing easier to explore.

Readable labels are a good start, but I’d still show what the labels mean. “Winner K” is clearer than a code, though a tap or hover explanation for the group and advancement rules would save people from having to guess.

For live scores, I’d make the essentials work without needing to interact with the globe. A compact match list with kickoff time, score, and status gives people a fast way to check what’s happening. The 3D view can stay as the fun, exploratory part.
