I'm building my first PC and want to play Fortnite at 1080p using Performance Mode while maintaining at least 120 FPS and streaming at the same time. I already have a Ryzen 5 7600X, but my graphics card budget is very limited, so I'm looking for a reliable, inexpensive option to use until I can afford a higher-end upgrade. I'm currently using a TV as my display.

Before choosing a card, set a firm budget and check the TV’s refresh rate. If it’s only a 60 Hz TV, you won’t see the benefit of rendering much above 60 FPS, even if the PC is capable of 120 FPS. You can still buy with a future 120 Hz monitor in mind, though.
At 1080p on Performance Mode, the Ryzen 5 7600X should be more than capable, so the GPU doesn’t need to be especially powerful. An RTX 5060 8GB would be a reasonable choice, particularly because Nvidia’s encoder is convenient for streaming. A comparable Radeon card could also work if it’s significantly cheaper.
If you’re shopping used, an RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, or RX 6700 XT could be worth considering. They should handle 1080p Fortnite easily, but compare prices and condition carefully since newer budget cards may have better warranties and streaming support.
