I’ve covered HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and want to move on to React, ideally with TypeScript. There are plenty of courses around, but I’d rather keep costs down unless a paid option is clearly worthwhile. What resources and learning approach would you recommend?
What’s a good way to learn React with TypeScript without spending much?

Start with the official React docs. They’re free, interactive, and explain current React concepts well. Work through the introductory material, then use a small project to make the ideas stick. For TypeScript-specific questions, a React and TypeScript reference guide can help with common patterns like typing props, events, and hooks.

I’d avoid collecting courses and focus on building. Make something small, like a task list or a simple page that loads data, and look up concepts as you need them. Watching a tutorial can get you moving, but writing and debugging the code yourself is where the pieces start to connect.

If you prefer a structured path, try a free guided course or curriculum alongside the docs. Just check what it actually teaches: some beginner React material doesn’t include TypeScript, so you may need a separate resource for types or a small TypeScript project afterward. A paid course is optional, not a prerequisite.
