What’s the Difference Between Entra ID, Entra Admin Center, and Microsoft 365 Admin Center?

The Microsoft 365 Admin Center is more of an overall hub that connects you to various other admin centers. It allows you to handle billing for licenses, modify global settings, and manage domains for your Microsoft 365 tenant. While you can reset user passwords there, the Entra ID is something Microsoft is moving away from as it transitions users to Entra.Microsoft.com, which has a newer interface but shares similar functionalities to the old one.

Explaining everything in detail for each of these can be quite complicated. Generally, there’s a lot of overlap in functionalities, but some unique features might be found in each. For example, you can’t view device info from the M365 Admin Center and specific features like Conditional Access or PIM are exclusive to Entra ID. You can change user properties on both, but licenses can only be added through the M365 Admin Center. .

Entra ID provides a basic overview, whereas the Entra Admin Center dives deeper into the functionalities of Entra ID, giving you more details. I haven't really used the Microsoft 365 Admin Center personally, so I can't speak much about its features, but it seems more oriented towards managing Microsoft products.
