What’s the likelihood of getting a refund for a missed subscription cancellation?

I recently forgot to cancel my free trial for a subscription service called Grok, and since I didn't have any money in my account, they couldn't charge me. However, I'm really in need of that money and have submitted a refund request. I haven't been a big user of Grok after the free trial. What are my chances of getting a positive response to my request? This is the first time I've encountered such a frustrating situation.

I get where you’re coming from, but it’s important to recognize the terms of these subscriptions. It’s a common practice for companies to offer free trials, and it’s really up to us to remember to cancel if we don’t want to continue. That said, many people have had success getting refunds in similar situations, especially if it’s your first time. Just be patient and see what they say!

It's understandable to feel frustrated, but remember that most companies, including Apple, are quite reasonable when it comes to refund requests, especially if it’s your first one. Typically, if you explain the situation and it's a genuine oversight, you have a good chance of getting your money back. Just keep in mind it’s first come, first served, and if you don’t have a history of frequent refund requests, you’re in a good spot!
