What's the Must-Have Software for My New Windows 11 Laptop?

I just got a new laptop with Windows 11 and I'm looking for recommendations on essential software that I should install. I've already added CCleaner for drive cleanup and I'm using the built-in Windows Defender for antivirus protection. What else do you suggest to ensure my laptop runs smoothly?

You should definitely consider getting Notepad++ for coding or text editing, and 7-Zip for file compression. If you need image editing, either Paint.net or GIMP works great. Also, check out Microsoft PowerToys, especially the Fancy Zones feature for better window management! WizTree is another useful tool to visualize disk usage and spot large files.

For installing multiple programs easily, check out Ninite! It lets you pick the apps you want and installs them all at once without the extra toolbars.

Make sure to remove any unnecessary bloatware that came with your laptop. I recommend using Bulk Crap Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller to clear out those pre-installed apps that you don’t need.
