I've noticed that the January Windows updates came with a lot of problems, and Microsoft released some out-of-band updates to tackle these issues. I'm curious about when WSUS will receive these out-of-band updates. As of now, I'm only seeing the problematic updates available for approval. Do you think Microsoft plans to publish the fixes to WSUS? Also, how is everyone handling the bad updates?

I didn't want to wait around, so I just grabbed the IDs for the out-of-band updates from the update catalog. Then, I used PowerShell to import them into WSUS and approved them as I usually would. It took me about 10 minutes instead of hoping Microsoft would throw them into WSUS on their own.
Are you just declining the bad updates? That's what I assumed you'd do. I'm still dealing with some issues after installing the out-of-band updates on my laptop, like it restarting unexpectedly after shutdown—hopefully you have better luck!
