We enabled Microsoft 365 Backup through the Microsoft 365 admin center and assigned an Azure account for billing. However, there are no obvious backup charges or billing details showing in Azure. The departmental billing instructions I found also don't seem to match what's available in our tenant. Has anyone successfully located the Microsoft 365 Backup costs and invoices in Azure?

Microsoft 365 Backup generally appears in Azure Cost Management only after billable consumption is recorded, and the first charges can be delayed until a later billing period. If the protected data volume is tiny, seeing no line item yet can be normal. Also verify that the selected Azure subscription belongs to the same tenant and is connected to a valid pay-as-you-go billing profile.
Azure’s billing and license reports can sometimes be inconsistent or delayed. Even with a simple subscription setup, different views may show incomplete or changing data, so checking the subscription’s cost analysis and invoice pages directly is usually more reliable than relying on the general billing dashboard.
In the Azure portal, open the subscription linked to Microsoft 365 Backup and check its Billing and Cost Management sections for costs and invoices. Keep in mind that usage data can take a while to appear after enabling the service, especially if there has been little or no backed-up data.

It has been enabled for a couple of weeks, but we’re only backing up SharePoint and the site is roughly 50 MB. The spending report still shows $0.00, so the usage may simply be too small to produce a noticeable charge.
