Which GPU Should I Get to Pair with My 7800X3D?

I recently upgraded to a new CPU, the 7800X3D, and currently have a 6700XT GPU. I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card as well, primarily because I want to achieve a consistent 240fps while playing FPS games like Rainbow Six Siege, CS2, and Apex Legends on a 1440p monitor. I can sell my 6700XT for about £200, so I'm aiming for a budget of around £400, but I could stretch it a bit for a great deal. Any suggestions?

If you can stretch your budget by £50, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is worth considering. Nvidia graphics cards tend to outperform AMD in CS2. I've got one paired with a 9800X3D, and I'm seeing around 500fps with decent lows. Check out the used market for a good deal!

To hit that 240fps at 1440p in FPS games, keep an eye out for a used 4070 Super. It's specifically optimized for games like CS2 and Apex, providing much better 1% lows compared to the 9070 at a similar price. You should be able to find one for about £350-£380 if you're patient, which fits your budget well.

Honestly, the 9060XT or 5060 Ti will only give you a 25-35% performance boost, so it might be better to save a bit more for a 5070 or 9070XT. Those would be a much better investment in the long run.
