Hey everyone! I'm using CachyOS with KDE Plasma and have run into an issue. I've installed a few applications that aren't showing up in either Octopi or CachyOS package installer. Because of this, they also don't appear in my application launcher. Is there a way to fix this? Any advice would be appreciated!

It might depend on which apps you installed. Some applications aren't meant to be launched from the application launcher; they are terminal tools instead. For instance, 'yt-dlp' is a great tool for downloading videos but you need to run it from the terminal. If you let us know specifically which packages you’re trying to install, we could help you figure out how to use them or determine if there’s a problem.

From what you mentioned, Ferdium and Waterfox fit the bill of apps that should appear in the launcher. Make sure they are installed correctly. Sometimes simply logging out and back in or restarting KDE can refresh the launcher. If that doesn’t work, try checking the installation path or the .desktop files in your ~/.local/share/applications directory.
