Why can’t I find certain settings on my new iPhone 17?

I just upgraded to the iPhone 17 from my old iPhone 14 and transferred everything over. Now, when I search for settings in the Settings app, it seems like I can only find apps. For example, I can't locate settings for iCloud or notifications. It's pretty frustrating, especially since I'm not sure where to navigate to find these settings that might be hidden under other options. I set up the phone last Friday on January 16th and I'm hoping there's a solution.

It sounds like your phone might still be indexing everything after the transfer. This can take a little while, so give it a day or two and see if it improves!

I actually set mine up on the same day, so I get your frustration. I’ve been trying to click recent settings hoping it'll help too!

Try going into the Settings app, selecting 'Search', and then scrolling down to the settings section. Make sure to toggle on both options for search. If they're already on, turn them off, restart your phone, and then turn them back on. That might help!

Thanks! I'm going to give that a shot right now.

Just a heads up, when you search for built-in apps like Messages or Safari, they might not show up. However, if you look for apps you've installed from the App Store, like Facebook, they'll appear. Super annoying, I know!

Haha, yep, that's the only stuff popping up for me too!
