I'm trying to buy an Apple Gift Card to fund my Apple Arcade account, but it's not working. I received a gift card for my birthday and wanted to use it to buy this Apple gift card. My parents are quite strict about buying things, especially for gaming. Can anyone explain why I can't use my Visa for this purchase?

Yep, you can’t use gift cards to buy gift cards. Just use your gift card to pay for the Apple Arcade directly. It might be the easiest solution!

Have you tried adding the prepaid card as a payment method? Sometimes that helps you get around the issue. But if it says you need to verify another card first, I get how frustrating that must be if you're trying to keep it under the radar from your dad.

You can't buy gift cards using another gift card, which is probably why your transaction isn't going through. Just try to use your birthday gift card directly to buy Apple Arcade instead.
