I've been downloading torrents on my phone without problems, but starting yesterday they began stopping shortly after they started. I tested both my usual connection and mobile data, and the download briefly begins before stopping again. The torrent has active seeders, and I have plenty of free storage. I also haven't knowingly changed any settings. What could be causing this, and how can I troubleshoot it?

First, confirm that the torrent itself is still active and has reachable seeders. A healthy seeder count usually means the issue is local, but availability can change, so testing another known-active torrent can help narrow it down.
Check the phone’s available storage, including whether the app has permission to access it. Even with some space left, a large download may need extra room for temporary files. However, if the app normally warns you about storage and there’s plenty available, this is less likely.
There’s ample free space, and the app hasn’t shown any storage warning, so I’ve mostly ruled that out.
Your carrier or network may have started blocking or limiting peer-to-peer traffic. Since mobile data worked previously but suddenly stopped, check for changes to the carrier plan, data restrictions, VPN or firewall settings, and the torrent app’s background-data permissions. Testing a different network can help confirm whether the connection is the cause.
I’ve used the same carrier for torrent downloads before, and nothing obvious changed, but I’ll check the network and app permissions in case a restriction was enabled.
I checked it, and the torrent is active with a good seeder ratio, so it doesn’t seem to be a dead torrent.
