Why does my iPhone alarm ring for only one second and then stop?

I'm using an iPhone 16 Plus on iOS 26.6.1. I've had a recurring problem where scheduled alarms sometimes start ringing for about one second and then stop by themselves, even when I'm not touching or looking at the phone. It has happened with both a 6:00 PM alarm and a 7:00 AM alarm, and the issue has appeared randomly over the past three months. I've already checked the alarm volume and sound, disabled attention-related settings, and restarted the phone, but nothing has fixed it. What else can I try, and should I contact Apple for a repair or replacement?

Since the usual settings and restart steps haven’t helped, contact Apple Support and ask them to document the issue and assess the phone for a software or hardware fault. If the device is still covered, they can explain whether it qualifies for service or replacement.

Try recording the alarm setup and keeping notes of the date, time, and whether it stops again. You can also show Apple your iOS version and the troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried, which may help them investigate the problem.
