I'm having a frustrating issue with TikTok where, if I have it running in the background while using another app, any new messages I receive on TikTok make it switch to the app automatically. I've turned off all notifications, both in-app and out-of-app, and I also disabled the "appear on top" feature. I've even cleared the cache, but this has been happening for months and it's really annoying! I'm using a Samsung S24 Ultra. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks!

Have you tried clearing TikTok's data instead of just the cache? That might solve the issue since it resets the app completely. Just remember you'll have to log back in.
