I feel like I'm really struggling with learning programming, and it's so frustrating. It's not that the material is too difficult, but every time I sit down to study, my mind wanders to a million other things. I've been stuck on the 'Hello World' and data types section of my book for over a week now! I want to learn to code and make all these cool projects, and find a job in tech, but I can't get focused. How can I turn programming into something more exciting and motivating for myself?

Honestly, maybe you should focus on small personal projects instead. If you’re just learning from a book, it might be more effective to jump in and start coding something fun right away rather than slogging through every chapter. Find something simple to create and get your hands dirty!

It might help to find your own motivation for learning programming. For me, creating an app that I wanted really drove me to learn. If you’re learning for the wrong reasons, it might not get any easier. Think about what you want to build and go from there!
