I just ran a speed test that showed my download speed is upwards of 800 Mbps, but whenever I try to download files, it's painfully slow—about 1600 kilobytes per second. I'm using Windows, and I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out what's going on and how to fix this issue.

What kind of router are you using? I had a similar problem with my Cloudgate router. I needed to flush my DNS settings to restore my full download speed. It might be worth a shot to see if that helps you too!
It sounds like the server you're downloading from might be throttling your speed. Sometimes, even if your internet connection is fast, the download source can limit how quickly you receive files.

I doubt DNS alone would cause a major speed drop for downloads. It’s more like you're switching directories and expecting a boost in speed.
