I've got a pretty old Fujitsu laptop that I've had for a few years. Recently, it started making a clicking noise, which I thought was coming from the speakers, but then I realized it's likely from the fans. I turned it off to try and clean the fans, but when I tried to boot it back up, it just freezes on the loading screen. I'm really worried because I have over 100 GB of important stuff saved on it. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong or how I can fix this?

If your laptop has a hard drive instead of a solid-state drive, that clicking sound could mean the hard drive is failing. It might have been damaged from regular movement or maybe even a drop. If you can get it to boot again, try to back up your important files as quickly as possible and consider getting a new hard drive.

Ugh, so it might be permanently damaged? I'm really tight on budget right now.
