I've built a pretty powerful gaming PC and I'm experiencing really low FPS—between 5 to 17—when playing games like Arc Raiders and HD2. My specs include an Intel Core i7-12700F, 64GB of RAM, and a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. I've updated all my drivers, and my screen is connected to the GPU. I'm also using a fast 2GB ethernet connection, but the FPS drop is frustrating. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Where have you installed your GPU? Also, consider downloading HWInfo64. Run it while your game is on and take a screenshot when you notice the FPS drop. That info can help diagnose the problem better.
It sounds like your FPS issues might be due to thermal throttling or a bad power connection. Try checking the temperatures while you're gaming to see if that's the culprit. It's a good idea to monitor how hot your components are getting during that FPS drop.
I think the max temp is around 40°C, but I'll definitely check the power connection when I get home.
Have you enabled the RAM XMP profile in the BIOS or tried tuning it yourself? Also, make sure your power profile in the BIOS is set to the highest setting. This can really impact performance, especially if the RAM isn't running at its potential.
I have to admit, I understand maybe a third of that. I probably haven't checked the XMP profile yet, but it’s on my list for tonight. My FPS hardly gets above 60 in other games either, and those drop when there's action.
I'll give that a shot. The FPS drops right when I enter the main menu, especially when I drop into the map. It drops from around 20 FPS to single digits.
