I've been using the Snipping Tool regularly to take screenshots, but lately, it's stopped working properly. I can open the application and use the Windows shortcut without any issues, but once I highlight the area I want to capture and take the screenshot, nothing happens. No images are saved, no editor opens, and I can't find any screenshots in my folder. I've tried searching for solutions regarding the app not opening or other common issues, but those don't apply to my problem. I've also gone through the steps to repair and reinstall it, but I still end up with the same situation—no editor and no saved images. Interestingly, the video feature of the Snipping Tool and the Windows + S shortcut work perfectly fine; it's only the screenshot functionality that's giving me trouble.

I totally understand the frustration! If you've already repaired and reinstalled the Snipping Tool and it’s still not working, you might want to check if there are any Windows updates pending or if there are conflicting apps that could interfere with it. Sometimes, a simple update can resolve issues like this.
The issue might be that the screenshots are only going to your clipboard instead of being saved as files. You could try hitting CTRL+V in Microsoft Paint to see if it pastes what you captured. If that doesn't work, it sounds like the Snipping Tool might be malfunctioning. Have you tried resetting the app settings? If you haven't, that could be worth a shot!
