Hey everyone! I just got a second-hand phone from my aunt, and it still has her account linked to it, including her Face ID setup. I'm planning to sync all her data to iCloud and sign out of her account, but I'm wondering if that will actually remove her Face ID. Do I need to do something special or perform a factory reset for it to be completely gone?

Signing out of an Apple account alone won’t remove the Face ID setup. You actually have to reset the Face ID separately or do a factory restore, which will wipe it out completely. Just go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings before setting it up with your own account.
Honestly, you could just ask your aunt to remove the phone from her iCloud account and do a factory reset. It’s pretty straightforward!
Yep, if you go into Settings, then General, and select 'Reset,' you can choose to erase all content. That action will definitely get rid of her Face ID and any other personal settings.
