Will upgrading to a paid account extend my free credits or free-tier period?

My free-tier period is ending soon, and I still have nearly $150 in promotional credits remaining. If I add a credit card and switch to a paid account, will that extend the free-tier period or give me more time to use the credits?

No. Adding a credit card or moving to a paid account does not extend the 12-month free-tier period, and it does not change the expiration date of promotional credits. The free tier is based on when the account was created, while the credits have their own separate expiration date.
