Would Nobara be a better fit after trying Bazzite?

I tried Bazzite in a virtual machine and wasn’t keen on the immutable setup. Would Nobara suit me better, and is Neverness to Everness likely to run on Linux?

If the main thing you disliked was immutability, Nobara is a reasonable option to look at. It’s a more conventional Fedora-based setup, so installing software and changing the system should feel less constrained. Its gaming-focused tweaks are a bonus, but hardware can still affect how smoothly it installs and runs.

You could also try regular Fedora. Nobara packages a set of gaming and creator-oriented changes, which saves some manual setup, but it’s another customized distro to troubleshoot if something goes wrong. If your priority is a straightforward, mutable desktop, Fedora itself may be worth comparing before you settle on one.

For Neverness to Everness, I wouldn’t treat reports of it running on one Linux setup as a guarantee for every distro or hardware configuration. Compatibility can depend on the game’s current build, launcher, and any anti-cheat. Check recent reports for the specific game before making your choice, especially if it’s a must-have.
