My mom's Zedge app has stopped working for the past two or three weeks. We've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, clearing its cache and data, and restarting her phone, but nothing has helped. She uses a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and I have the same model with no problems, so we're not sure whether this is an issue with her phone or the app. She had a similar problem on a Galaxy S23 several years ago that was eventually resolved. The app displays the message "Can't connect, no internet connection," even though her Wi-Fi and other apps work normally. Has anyone run into this, or are there safer alternatives for downloading ringtones and wallpapers?

Since the same app works on an identical phone, this may be an issue with the app, its account, or a device-specific network setting rather than the phone’s internet connection. It’s also worth being cautious with Zedge, since some users have reported unwanted ads or malware concerns in the past. If basic troubleshooting hasn’t helped, using a different ringtone and wallpaper app may be safer and easier.

I didn’t realize there had been malware concerns with it. We may look for another app instead of spending more time trying to fix this one.
