My mom's Zedge app has stopped working for the past two or three weeks. We've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, clearing the app's cache and data, and restarting her phone, but nothing has helped. She uses a Galaxy S26 Ultra, and I have the same phone with no problems using the app. The error says, "Can't connect, no internet connection," even though her Wi-Fi and other apps work normally. She had a similar issue on an older Galaxy phone several years ago. Could this be a phone-specific problem, or is there another setting or cause we should check?

Since the same app works on the same phone model for you, the problem is probably specific to her app account, device settings, or the app’s connection rather than the phone model itself. Check whether a VPN, private DNS, ad blocker, firewall, or restricted background-data setting is enabled on her phone. It’s also worth testing the app on mobile data instead of Wi-Fi to see whether one connection is being blocked.
Some people have become cautious about Zedge because of concerns about unwanted ads or potentially unsafe content. If troubleshooting doesn’t help, removing it and using another reputable ringtone or wallpaper app may be the safer option. Make sure any replacement comes from the official app store, and avoid apps that request unnecessary permissions.
