I've been trying to install and use Zorin OS, but every time the installation finishes and I restart the computer, it goes straight into the BIOS instead of booting the new system. The only way I can reach Zorin again is by plugging the installation USB back in, which starts the installer and makes it seem like I have to install everything again. What should I check to make the computer boot from the installed system?

Make sure Zorin was installed onto the drive you expect. The BIOS may be trying to boot a different disk, especially if the computer has multiple storage devices. Confirm the installed drive is enabled and selected as the first boot device. If no Zorin or Linux boot entry appears, reinstalling in the same mode as the firmware—usually UEFI—and making sure the bootloader is installed to the correct drive may be necessary.
Check the BIOS or UEFI boot menu and look for an entry such as “Zorin,” “Linux,” or “ubuntu,” since Zorin may use that name for its bootloader. Move that entry to the top of the boot order, above the USB drive and other storage devices. Also remove the USB after installation so the computer doesn’t start the installer again.
The boot entries are usually under Boot Priority or Boot Options in the BIOS. If the Linux entry isn’t listed at all, the bootloader may not have been installed to the EFI system partition.
I’ll check the boot order and whether the Linux entry is present, then try starting with the USB removed.
