What’s the Best GPU for 1440p Gaming on a Budget?

Hey everyone! I'm using a Ryzen 5 5600 with 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM and a 650W Corsair TX-M PSU. I want to get into gaming at 1440p but I'm not overly concerned about super high frame rates. Coming from a console background, I'm aiming for around 60fps on most games at 1440p and about 120fps on competitive games like Overwatch and Rivals at 1080p. I'm leaning towards an Nvidia GPU mainly for DLSS, since my past experiences with AMD haven't been great, but I'm open to suggestions if they make sense for my situation. I have a budget of around £550 to £600. What GPU would be the best fit for my needs?

The 5070 seems like the clear choice for your setup! It would give you a great performance boost at 1440p. I do hear what you’re saying about missing out on 32-bit gaming, which can be a bummer if you love playing older titles. Keeping your 1080 Ti around for those times sounds like a solid backup plan!

Yeah, I'm also leaning towards the 5070. It would definitely be a major upgrade for 1440p!

I've been running a Ryzen 5600X with an RX 6750XT and it handles 1440p gaming pretty well for AA and AAA titles. If I were building right now, I’d likely go for the 9070XT within your budget, but otherwise, the 5070 is a great option too. Just keep in mind, I don’t play competitive games much, but transitioning from console to PC has been fantastic for overall frame rates!

Just a heads up, the 9070 XT is going to be tough to find under £650 right now, so a 5070 Ti might be the better bet!
