I'm upgrading from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to a 16 Pro Max and I'd prefer not to bring over my entire photo library, especially since some of those photos date back to when I was using an iPhone 14. I'm really interested in only transferring the last three years' worth of photos. Is there a way to do that? Thanks for any tips!

Unfortunately, you can't selectively transfer photos directly using the iPhone-to-iPhone transfer method. It's an all-or-nothing deal. If you have a Mac, though, you can manage it better through Finder by picking and choosing what you want to transfer.
It's tricky! If you’re using iCloud, your photos are likely synced automatically. If you want to keep just a specific set, the best move is to first download them to your computer and then re-upload only the ones you want to your new phone.
That sounds like a good idea! You get to keep your favorites without cluttering your new phone.
Honestly, there’s no straightforward way to do it on iPhones. You might want to consider using a computer for more control over your photo transfer.
Yeah, using a Mac can really simplify things if you want to be picky about which photos to keep.
