Hey everyone! I recently got my first PC (CyberPowerPC) to start streaming but I've been facing some serious lag issues while playing games like Call of Duty, Chained Together, Marvel Rivals, and Overwatch. I even tried moving COD to an external hard drive to free up space, but it hasn't helped. I've been streaming on multiple platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube, and also using Discord, which might be too much for my setup. Today, I played without streaming to see if that would help, but I'm still experiencing latency. I checked my Task Manager during gameplay, and my CPU usage is around 80-90% while my GPU is maxed out at 100%. I know I have a lot of games, but I genuinely enjoy all of them. I consider myself a complete beginner with PC stuff, so I really need some advice! Here are my specs:
- **Processor:** AMD Ryzen 5 5500 3.60 GHz
- **Graphics Card:** AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT 4GB
- **RAM:** 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
- **System Type:** 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
- **OS:** Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2
- **Monitors:** 2 (Samsung 32' Smart TV and Asus VA24E)
- **Resolution:** 1920x1080

It sounds like your PC might be a bit underpowered for what you're trying to do. The Ryzen 5 5500 and RX 6500 XT aren't the greatest for streaming and gaming simultaneously, especially with 16GB of RAM. If you happen to have a budget for upgrades, I'd recommend looking into at least a stronger GPU and possibly adding more RAM. If you're aiming for better performance, consider building a new PC from the ground up since your current setup might be too limiting. How much did you pay for your current rig?
I got it for $800 from Best Buy, and since it’s new, I’m hesitant to spend a lot more, but I get that upgrading can be costly. What do you suggest?
