I'm planning to upgrade my graphics card from an RTX 3070 to a Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT and I'm currently using a 750W power supply. I'm seeing mixed advice: Gigabyte recommends an 850W PSU, but according to PCPartPicker, my entire system would only draw around 598W with the new card. So, do I really need to upgrade my power supply, or can I stick with my current one?

You 'probably' won’t have any issues, but if your PSU isn’t ATX 3.x, it might handle power spikes less effectively compared to newer models. Just keep an eye on it when gaming.
You should be just fine with a 750W PSU for the RX 9070 XT. Manufacturers often overestimate the required wattage to cover low-quality units. Your PSU should handle it well as long as it's a reliable brand.
That's good to hear! So I can save on needing a new PSU, right?
Thanks for the insight!
Your current 750W supply will likely work without issues. The Ryzen 9 5950X doesn't pull too much power, usually only around 95W on stock, and the entire setup combined stays below 600W, as per PCPartPicker.
Glad to know that! I was worried about it.
Nope, you’re fine as is. Just make sure the PSU is of good quality and you shouldn’t run into problems.
Thanks for clarifying! I’ll keep that in mind.
