Why Does My PC Keep Booting Straight to BIOS?

I've had this PC I built over a year ago, and it always boots directly into the BIOS screen when I turn it on. Initially, I was fine with it since I just had to hit F7, select the boot tab, and choose my SSD to boot into Windows. But lately, it's been really annoying to do this every time I power on my PC. I've tried a bunch of solutions like reinstalling Windows, replacing the CMOS battery, reseating the M.2 drive, and even resetting the BIOS to default settings. I'm at a loss here and would appreciate any advice or suggestions!

Make sure to replace that CMOS battery if you haven't done so already. It's crucial for retaining BIOS settings. But if you've already changed it, focus on checking your boot drive settings in the BIOS. It needs to point to your SSD correctly.

I did replace the battery, but it sounds like I need to take another look at those settings.

It sounds like your BIOS boot settings might not be pointing to the correct drive. If it's always booting to BIOS, that could be the issue. When you reset to default, it might not have changed anything related to the boot order. You should double-check your boot options and ensure your SSD is set as the primary boot drive. Oh, and don’t forget to update your BIOS if you haven’t already!

Yeah, a BIOS update might help! It could fix some bugs that are causing this issue.

I checked mine, and it was a small setting that fixed the issue for me. Worth a shot!
