I'm mainly playing World of Warcraft, doing some browsing, and using my PC as an HTPC. I wouldn't usually consider an upgrade like this, but I've found a 5700X for just $100. Since I don't plan on building a new PC until AM6 comes out around 2027, is it a smart move to upgrade now?

Upgrading to the 5700X at that price seems like a solid choice. The performance boost is significant since the 5600G is more similar to the 5500 in benchmarks. A friend recently went from a 3400G to a 5500 and saw around a 20% increase in FPS across several games, which is pretty impressive with your 6750XT!
Honestly, for $100, you can't go wrong. That's a really cheap upgrade, and you'll likely notice the difference in performance.
Definitely go for it if it’s just $100! Just keep in mind that the 5700X doesn’t come with a cooler, so make sure your current cooler can handle it. But you'll appreciate the performance bump, especially with your setup!
