Is 16GB of RAM Enough for Upgrading My GPU?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my graphics card soon, considering options like the 5060 Ti, 9060 XT, or 9070—still deciding on which one. Currently, I have an i5-11600KF and 16GB of 3600MHz DDR4 RAM. I'm curious, do I need to upgrade to 32GB of RAM depending on which GPU I choose? Would love your input!

I suggest upgrading to your new GPU first. After that, check your RAM usage—if you’re not maxing out at 16GB, then you might be fine as is. But keep an eye on what you’re running in the background!

Honestly, you don't need a specific amount of RAM just to feed a GPU. Check how much RAM you’re actually using. Many gamers find 16GB is the bare minimum but if you're not hitting that limit regularly, it's not urgent to upgrade right now.

Yeah, and remember, a lot of it depends on what games you're playing too. If they're not too demanding or you don't have many apps open, you might be okay.

Most folks here agree that upgrading to 32GB is a good move. 16GB is okay for some usage, but having that extra RAM would definitely give you more room to work with, especially for modern gaming.
