I'm currently playing a lot of Dune Awakening, but I'm facing some performance issues because the game is installed on my HDD instead of my SSD. I'm wondering if the HDD is solely responsible for the lag, or if there might be other weaknesses in my build that I should address. Should I upgrade to a better SSD or add more RAM? Here's my current setup:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor
GPU: GeForce RTX 3060
Motherboard: ASRock B450M PRO4
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
SSD: Kingston A2000 250 GB

Most modern games need an SSD, and Dune Awakening specifically lists it in the minimum requirements. I saw my friend have a lot of lag with Starfield when he was using an HDD, but after he switched to an SSD, his performance improved significantly.
You should definitely add a new SSD. I’d suggest tweaking your CPU as well for better performance.
