I recently bought an iPad from a thrift store that looks like it was used in a school. It was a great deal, but now I'm facing a problem. After trying to factory reset it multiple times, I keep encountering a Remote Management screen during setup. The only option I have is to "Enroll this iPad," which I can't do since I don't have access to the original owner's account. Is there any way to bypass this restriction? I really want to use this iPad as it's in excellent condition, but this is a major hurdle.

Sadly, it's just a brick for you unless the original owner takes action. If you suspect the iPad was stolen and you didn't know, I'd recommend returning it and getting your money back. It's probably for the best!
This is definitely a roadblock. The device is essentially locked down until the school or original owner removes the MDM. If it's marked as stolen, the owner isn't likely to help you, so sadly, it sounds like you might have a fancy paperweight on your hands.
Unfortunately, there's no way to remove the Remote Management lock. Only the original owner can unenroll the device. If they included their contact info, it might be worth reaching out to them. Otherwise, you're pretty much stuck with it unless it's returned to the rightful owner.
Just to echo what others have said, without the original admin access, there's really no legal way to get past the MDM lock. It's best to return it or see if you can exchange it for a different device.
Nope, there's no shortcut here. If it was originally a school device, the only way to clear the lock is through them. Such a bummer because they really do hand out some sweet deals at thrift shops sometimes!
