Help! My Desktop Powers Off Suddenly—What Could Be Wrong?

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my desktop. Here are my specs to give you an idea:
- **Brand:** Cyberpower PC
- **CPU:** Intel Core i9-12900KF
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2x16GB)
- **Motherboard:** ASRock z670 or z690
- **GPU:** EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with 10GB GDDR6X VRAM
- **Storage:** 2TB SSD & 2TB HDD
- **Bought:** Around April 2022

The issue started on Friday night while I was gaming. Out of nowhere, my computer shut off. It wasn't after changing games or settings; it just cut out. When I try to power it back on, the lights on my GPU, RAM, and fans come on, but after a few seconds, I hear a click and it shuts down again. I've already tried a couple of troubleshooting steps:
- Unplugged and replugged the power cord.
- Made sure the RAM was seated properly.
- I attempted to remove the power supply for testing, but it's pretty difficult given the case design—it blocks my access to some cables.

I could really use some advice on what might be going wrong and how to fix it. Thanks for any help!

It might be worth not focusing on the PSU just yet. Try powering it on three times with a few seconds in between each attempt. When you try it the fourth time, it should boot into recovery mode. Start with the least invasive recovery option that maintains your files. Let us know how that goes or check around for similar issues.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll give that a shot before I dig into the PSU.
