I recently bought a laptop, a ROG Strix G16 with an i9 processor and an RTX 4060. When I play GTA V through the Xbox app, it runs perfectly on max settings. However, after purchasing a friend's Steam account and starting to play GTA V there, I'm facing two main issues:
1. Whenever I launch GTA V through Steam, the screen goes completely black, and none of the shortcuts work. I have to force shut down my laptop to get it to respond. The only workaround I found is removing the charger, at which point it will launch fine, but if I plug it in again, it goes black yet I can still hear sound in the background. If I play it on battery, it launches just fine.
2. I'm also experiencing random FPS drops, going from 60 to 48, while on Xbox, the game runs smoothly.
To fix these issues, I've already done a clean reinstall of Steam, used DDU for my graphics driver, confirmed everything is up to date including Windows, and tried disabling fullscreen and using compatibility mode. Any suggestions on how to resolve these problems? My setup includes Windows 11, an RTX 4060, an i9 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of storage.

It looks like the black screen issue could stem from compatibility problems specifically with Steam or how the game interacts with your hardware when plugged in.
