Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of a situation with my new RAM setup on my MSI B650M Gaming Plus Wifi motherboard. I've got the latest BIOS installed and originally used a 32GB kit (2x16GB) from Kingston, but I upgraded to a 96GB Corsair Vengeance kit (CMK96GX5M2B6000Z30) for better performance while running local LLM models. Here's what I've done:
1. Booted each stick individually in the A2 slot—both work.
2. Tried both sticks in slots A2 and B2, as well as A1 and B1, but the PC doesn't boot, showing a red CPU light and orange RAM light.
3. Swapped back to my old kit in B2, and it boots fine.
4. After exhaustive trials, I managed to get it to boot with both sticks in A1 and A2, showing 96GB and running at 6000MHz after enabling EXPO in BIOS.
So my questions are: Is running the RAM in A1 and A2 okay? Will it affect performance or stability? Should I consider getting a different motherboard for better compatibility? Thanks in advance for any help!

It sounds like you've done a lot of thorough troubleshooting! Running the sticks in A1 and A2 is fine, but just keep an eye on stability. Dual-channel should work as expected. If you're not experiencing any crashes or issues, you should be good. Just make sure to monitor your system performance to ensure everything's running smoothly!
Thanks for the reassurance! I’ll keep an eye on it.
