Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a tech pickle. I usually run my antivirus software without any hitches, but recently, it flagged Smart Call, which is that Android feature that helps identify scam calls, as a potential threat. I did a bit of digging and came across some pretty alarming stuff like a trojan named ANDROID/AVE.Evo. I'm really worried here! Is this a real virus or just a false alarm? What should I do? Tech-savvy folks, I could really use your guidance!

A good step would be to upload the flagged file to VirusTotal. It'll check against multiple antivirus engines and see if others are flagging it too. This can give you a clearer picture of what’s going on.
Are you using a Samsung or another brand of phone? Also, do you ever sideload apps or click random links? Lastly, what antivirus are you running? If it's a third-party app, it could just be a false positive, especially if the app is generally safe.
Yeah, I'm using a Samsung. I definitely don’t download weird APKs or click on sketchy links—that’s a hard pass for me. I'm using a third-party antivirus that comes with a decent VPN, but I guess I should be careful.
