Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my setup from a 1080p 75Hz TN monitor to a shiny new 1440p 180Hz monitor. I currently have 16GB of DDR4 RAM (8x2 GB) along with a 6800 GPU and an i5 13400 CPU, so I know I can run AAA games at decent FPS. I'm just a bit worried—will my current RAM hold back the performance I'm aiming for?

You don't necessarily need more RAM for 1440p gaming, but boosting it to 32GB could help with smoothness and multitasking. It won't increase FPS, but it might make your overall experience a bit more responsive. It's a tough concept to grasp until you try it out yourself!
I definitely plan to get more RAM eventually. I just ran into some bad luck with an air cooler that's too big for my motherboard, so one of my RAM slots is blocked. Can't afford to upgrade everything all at once, so I'm stuck for now.
