Why won’t my mom’s new computer boot at her house?

I recently built a computer for my mom and it works perfectly at my place. However, when I take it to her house, it refuses to post. The motherboard is an Asus B850 plus wifi and there's a power light that flashes slowly at her house, but that's it—nothing else happens. Even when I plug it in with just the power cable, I get the same result. The voltage seems fine, and I've tried three different power outlets. I'm really puzzled by this issue.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a power issue. Even though you've checked the voltage, I'd recommend trying a different power supply if you haven't already; it's an inexpensive diagnostic step. Additionally, consider looking into power conditioning options like filters or a UPS, although that could get complicated. Do you have any other computers you could test out at your mom's house to see if they boot up?

I have her old computer, which works fine. I even swapped her old power supply into the new build, but it still wouldn't post. I haven't tried the new power supply with her old computer yet.
