Hey everyone, I upgraded my DDR4 RAM from 2x8GB to 4x8GB, thinking I'd add an identical kit to what I already had. I've just noticed that one of my RAM sets is labeled as 'Patriot Viper RGB' while the other is 'Patriot Viper Steel RGB.' I really thought I grabbed the correct model, but now I'm doubting if I accidentally bought a different kit. I searched for the 'Patriot Viper RGB' but only found the Steel model and I'm a bit confused. Are they just rebranded versions, or did I mess up and get completely different RAM? They look the same and have matching clock speeds, though the RGB color on the Steel one is a bit darker. Windows is showing 32GB of RAM, so that's a plus, but should I be concerned about mixing these two?

As long as both RAM sets are the same capacity and timings, they should work fine together. Mixing different kits can sometimes lead to issues, but if they’re close enough in specs, you shouldn't run into major problems.
