Help Me Choose My Next Upgrade for Gaming

Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on a Gigabyte RX 9060 XT 16GB graphics card, but I'm feeling like the rest of my system is a bit of a bottleneck. I have a couple of options I'm considering for upgrades, and I'd love your advice. My main issue right now is that I'm seeing really high memory usage even when nothing much is running—right now, I'm at around 10 GB with just two tabs open. Here are my specs:

- Motherboard: Gigabyte A320M-S2H
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
- RAM: 2x8GB Crucial 2666MHz CL20
- New GPU: Gigabyte RX 9060 XT 16 GB
- New PSU: Cooler Master G700 GOLD (non-modular)

I'm considering two possible upgrades: 1. Stick with my current AM4 setup and upgrade to faster RAM (any recommendations on speed/CL?) or 2. Upgrade to AM5, but that would mean waiting a bit since I can't afford it right now. I usually play games like Overwatch and some more demanding ones like Sons of the Forest and the upcoming GTA 6. Any advice would be appreciated!

I think going with an AMD R5 5600 and 32GB of 3200 CL16 RAM would be a solid choice. The 5600 can keep up in most situations and help you hit 150+ FPS in eSports titles like Overwatch 2, which sounds perfect for your gaming style. Honestly, I wouldn't bother with the AM5 upgrade if you're primarily focused on gaming with the 9060 XT.

If you're looking at AM5, I wouldn't rush into it without a solid budget. It seems like your current setup can benefit from faster RAM, so upgrading that could really alleviate some of that high memory usage you're experiencing. Plus, a lot of folks are suggesting a 5600 could max out your 9060 XT in most cases!

If you're going with AM5, I'd aim for at least 32 GB. It'll future-proof your build and should help with that memory usage.

Thanks for the insights! I was actually thinking about getting an A620M H motherboard with a 7600, but I'm unsure about how much RAM to go for. Any more thoughts on that?
