Hey everyone! I recently bought a WD SN850X SSD, but I'm feeling a bit nervous since I heard that SanDisk is starting to produce WD SSDs in 2025. Should I be worried about the reliability of WD SSDs with this change?

You shouldn’t have issues with reliability, but just keep an eye on their warranty process. I’ve heard they can be a little tricky with RMA claims and may not always give refunds for returned items. Just something to think about!
It’s pretty much the same deal as before—just different branding. The same team is working on these products, and they share the same manufacturing facilities. This spin-off was mainly about making it easier to evaluate their performance on the stock market. So, you shouldn’t worry too much about the reliability!
Thank you, I think I am not worried anymore.
Honestly, it seems like this transition is just a rebranding. The WD SN850X is still a high-end product and should remain reliable. WD has owned SanDisk since 2016, so not much will change in terms of quality. Don't stress too much!
Good to know, thank you!
So, the reliability still with WD quality? So, the 5 years warranty that they promised is a scam?
