I'm heading to Redmond tomorrow for TechMentor 2025 and I have a quick question about what "casual dress" really means. As someone from the East Coast, I usually think of casual as basketball shirts and T-shirts. Is that the vibe I should expect at the event?

I'd mix it up! First day, maybe go for khakis and a polo. Then on day two, see what everyone else is wearing before deciding, maybe jeans and a polo? It’s all about comfort but still looking decent.
I’d say go with a polo and nice jeans. That way, you're casual but still looking sharp!
Thank you!
Business casual is usually chinos with a shirt. But for this crowd, jeans and a T-shirt or comfy polo suit just fine! Make sure to wear actual pants though. 😂
Honestly, you can't go wrong with a T-shirt and jeans. Since it’s a tech event, that’s totally acceptable. Just be comfy!
Thanks so much!
As a fellow East Coaster, I'm with you on this! I'd avoid basketball shorts. Think business casual—like khakis and a polo. It's more appropriate for the setting.
Thank you! Any other tips?
