Where to Find Research on Cloud-Native Technologies?

I've recently been exploring databases and noticed that big names like Google Spanner and Snowflake often share research papers on their algorithms and the real-world effects of their innovations. I'm looking to discover what's similar in the cloud-native space—specifically within cloud computing and distributed systems. The tools here seem to respond to practical needs, especially for DevOps folks, but I'm sure there's a lot of research fueling these advancements. Can anyone point me towards key topics, foundational papers, or good sources for this kind of research?

Definitely check out arXiv. It's a great resource for finding up-to-date research papers across a variety of fields including cloud-native systems.

You should also take a look at the Fireship YouTube channel! They cover a lot of exciting topics related to cloud technologies and research.

I used to host a Twitter space called 'paper club' where we would read and discuss research papers like a book club, and it was a blast! I shifted to doing a podcast and had to give it up, but if there's interest, I'd love to bring it back. You can find some of the papers we read on my GitHub here: https://github.com/rothgar/paperclub.
