BSoD Issues on My New Acer Laptop: Need Help!

I recently bought an Acer Nitro V laptop and I've been facing a frustrating issue with a blue screen error related to 'mtkwl6ex.sys'. I reached out to Acer's support, and they sent an engineer who installed a fresh version of Windows. However, I'm still encountering the same blue screen problem, although now the laptop is booting up automatically instead of getting stuck in a loop like before. After doing some research, I found that I might need to uninstall the current 'MediaTek MT7921LE Wi-Fi driver' and replace it with a new one. Can anyone advise me on whether this driver update will resolve my problem, or should I just ignore the blue screen error? My parents invested a lot of money in this laptop, and I really need it to work properly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You should definitely contact Acer again. If your laptop is still under warranty, there's no real need for you to troubleshoot it yourself, especially if you're unsure about it. It's frustrating that the engineer didn't effectively address the issue and insisted it wasn't a hardware problem. Let them know the problem persists after the reinstall, and ask for further assistance.

That makes sense. It's good that the laptop can boot now, but if the BSoD keeps showing up on restarts, it's definitely a sign of something still being off. Don't hesitate to push them for a proper fix.

Getting the dump files from the BSoD could really help diagnose what's going wrong. If you can access Windows normally or via Safe Mode, check the 'C:WindowsMinidump' folder for any crash logs. If there are any, upload those to a file sharing site so someone can look at them. It could give a clearer picture of the issue you're dealing with and help figure out if that driver change is the route to take.
